8th Summer School Solvation Science
The integrated Graduate School Solvation Science hosts an annual Summer School at the Ruhr University Bochum. The school always takes place after Whitsuntide and is an integral part of the iGSS students' training during their doctoral studies.
The eighth Summer School Solvation Science will take place from the 7th to the 10th of June, 2022.
The lectures will focused on Interface solvation and solvation under confinement, Catalysis at charged interfaces and biomolecule solvation. As every year, there are also advanced laboratory hands-on modules on various topics. Check out Hands-On Series 2022 to see a list of confirmed laboratory modules.
In addition to the lectures and lab hands-on modules, workshops on important soft skills will be offered. Find here an overview of the Workshops 2022 .
We encourage keen and motivated Master and PhD students with an interest in Solvation Science, both from our local partner institutes and international students, to apply for a place at our Summer School.
We are pleased to welcome internationally renowned speakers in the field of Solvation Science to give keynote talks on their research during the Lecture Series. The session topics for 2022 are Catalysis at Charged Interfaces, Biomolecule Solvation, Interface Solvation and Solvation under Confinement and Molecular/Biology Systems under Extreme Conditions .
The Lecture Series is organized and chaired by members of our Graduate School and Early Career Researchers . Students are encouraged to continue the conversation throughout the week.
